The Yoga for Runners Foundation Series is coming to Fleet Feet Burbank! Taught by Gretchen Goode, who led the weekly RunClub+ yoga sessions, this series is perfect for any runner looking to supplement their training with yoga. The series will focus on anatomy, building your home yoga practice, strengthening and stretching for runners, and running form. We believe a well-rounded runner is a stronger runner. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Yoga for Runners will begin on Sunday, March 26.
Info Night is Thursday, March 23 @ 7 PM at Fleet Feet Burbank.
WHAT: 6 yoga sessions designed for runners. Classes will run between 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
WHEN: Sundays @ 9 AM. Class dates are March 26 + April 2, 9, 23, 30 + May 7. Note: April 2 will be at 5:15 PM. There is NO class on Easter, April 16.
WHERE: Fleet Feet Sports Burbank
COST: $50, cash or check (made payable to Gretchen Goode) only, due at Info Night or at the beginning of the first class. Credit cards will not be accepted.
WHAT YOU NEED: Participants will need to bring mats, blocks, and straps. (These will be available for purchase at the start of class.)
WHAT YOU GET: A training/yoga journal at the end of the series. Plus, the knowledge and practice of yoga to help you continue your training!
From the Yoga Instructor, Gretchen Goode: I'm thrilled to bring you more Yoga for Runners! Yoga became an important part of my life after a serious car accident, decades ago, that changed my body and affected my active lifestyle. After training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga, I discovered it was the missing link I needed to feel active, healthy, and like I could do anything...like run half marathons, marathons, and my first 50K with the Fleet Feet crew out in Chino Hills last year! I'm truly inspired to bring yoga to my fellow runners and help us better understand our bodies to prevent injury and meet those PR goals!
